1. What is a cookie and what is it for? A cookie is a small text file that a website, an app, or another platform stores on your browser, computer, tablet, smartphone, or any other similar device, with information about your browsing or use. Cookies are essential for the functioning of the internet, as they provide countless advantages in the provision of interactive services, facilitating navigation and the usability of our website. Under no circumstances will cookies damage your equipment. On the contrary, the fact that they are active helps us identify and resolve possible errors.
For the purposes of this policy, and in accordance with the criteria of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), other local storage mechanisms on your device, such as localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB, are also considered cookies. All of them are subject to the same information and consent obligations as traditional HTTP cookies.
2. What types of cookies do we use? According to the ownership of the cookie:
First-party cookies: These are those sent to your terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself (https://vommo.es/) and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Third-party cookies: These are those sent to your terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by us, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
According to the retention period:
Session cookies: These are a type of cookie designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. These cookies only work during the browser session and are deleted once the session ends.
Persistent cookies: These are a type of cookie in which the data remains stored in the browser and can be accessed and processed during a period defined by the person responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
According to their purpose:
Technical cookies (necessary): These are essential for correctly navigating the Web, activating basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.
Preference or personalization cookies: These allow the website to remember information that changes the way the page behaves or looks, such as your preferred language or the region you are in.
Statistical or analytical cookies: These help website owners understand how visitors interact with the site, gathering and providing information anonymously.
Advertising or marketing cookies: These are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to show ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user based on their specific profile.
